New Orleans After the Flood: Robert Polidori
Memo and I went to see the this special exhibit at the Met a couple weeks ago. The things that struck me the most were the lines of sediment on everything and how high they had reached and also there where pictures of ceiling fans that had gotten soaked with water and turned limp so the fan blades where just hanging down almost like a dead flower.
Check out this podcast where the curator of the department of photographs talks with Robert Polidori about his photos.

The feeling in the New Orleans photos is very similar to the Pripyat and Chernobyl photos also by Robert Polidori.
