Web Design Inspiration/Influence
There’s a good collection of nice websites on Flickr named “Web Design Inspiration” (http://www.flickr.com/photos/splat/sets/981332/)
While I disagree with the title ”Web Design Inspiration”this photoset is still a handy resource.
A speaker at the 2007 An Event Apart in Boston was asked what are some the sites he visits for “inspiration“. He made the great point that what you get from design portals and so on is influence, not inspiration.
Inspiration for a design can come from anywhere but it usually doesn’t come form looking at the work of others… However there comes a time in the life of every “creative on demand” professional when you’re stuck and you just need a quick fix.
