happy print x 2
two quick notes on favorite print designers…

#1: Jason Munn, of the Small Stakes design studio (and of everyone’s favorite posters for Mates of State, Sujian Stevens, etc.) is designing a new set of shirts for Patagonia. The shirts’ themes focus on environmental issues — such as Vote the Environment, the sinister Pollution Plant, and the Future of the Earth — proceeds from which go to grassroots foundations respective to the particular issues. (shirts will debut this spring!)

#2: I have been on the hunt for Wayne Pate of GoodShapeDesign since I grabbed this image of his birds for my clippings files, but managed to misnote where it came from.

Hurrah! I have discovered the birds again! As well as other wonderful, simple prints.

and this shirt, with the bird stack in a nice repeat:

To pull out a few themes in my latest graphic obsessions, they would be #1: animal kingdom #2: simple fill shapes #3: odd couples and #4: textile/pattern oriented. Finally, #5. I have a serious weakness for the trompe l’oeil (or anything but) tshirt, such as the following from GoodShapeDesign.
