David Eggers wins the 2008 TED Prize. His wish: to get 1000 stories of meaningful partnerships between creative individuals, educators, and their communities documented on Once Upon A School. In his acceptance, below, he enthusiastically tells the story of 826 Valencia and incites/inspires his audience to get involved with their communities, become advocates for children’s education, and to allow spontaneity, ridiculousness, and imagination be a part of the process.
