Who?

The members of the 47th Precinct are friends and compatriots from a number of Boston’s design and advertising agencies. En route to Toronto in 2005, the idea for a dialog area on shared resources, good things to look at, and a general creative consortium was born. Due to the sometimes turbulent nature of the creative arena, the 47th would be a place for kindred folks and former co-workers to share ideas, catch up on new happenings, and reconnect. The name is inspired by a lucky number of one of the members, a favorite pulp series (Ed McBain’s 87th precinct stories), an affinity between sleuthing and the creative process, and the number of cupcakes that the group can consume on one summer picnic.
